Review: Cape Dara Resort Pattaya – A 5-Star Experience

Thailand Blog Pattaya - Chonburi about 5 min read

Cape Dara Resort Pattaya is conveniently located near Terminal 21 shopping mall. The hotel offers a shuttle service and a 5-story parking building for guests.

Upon arrival, the staff promptly assisted with unloading luggage. My wife proceeded to handle the check-in, while I drove up to park the car in the parking building and took the elevator down to the L (Lobby) floor.

Check-in & Check-out Times at Cape Dara Resort Pattaya:

  • Check-in time: From 3:00 PM onwards
  • Check-out time: No later than 12:00 PM

There’s a room deposit of 1,000 Baht, which can be paid in cash. If you forget to withdraw money, there’s a Kasikorn Bank ATM in the lobby, near the Mellow Bakery Cafe.

After Check-in:

Guests receive a Welcome Drink voucher for each person booked. These can be redeemed at the Pool Bar next to the swimming pool or at the hotel’s restaurant. Just present the voucher provided by the staff.

We received two keycards, the room number, Wi-Fi password, and the Welcome Drink voucher all in one paper envelope. You need to tap the keycard on the elevator panel to select your floor, which is a nice added security feature.

Review of the Deluxe Corner Sea View Room with Bathtub:

I booked a Deluxe Corner room, measuring 49 sq.m., with 1 bedroom and a sea view. It featured a satisfyingly large bathtub and a separate shower area with full hot and cold water systems.

The hotel provides a complete set of amenities, including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and eco-friendly toothbrushes with toothpaste. The hotel also sells bath bombs if you arrive and wish to take a relaxing soak immediately.

The bathroom has a curtain that can be drawn from the inside. In some hotels, the curtain is on the outside, which can be a bit concerning if you’re with children who might open it. Here, you can control it from within the bathroom, so no worries about privacy.

Moving on to the room itself, it’s quite spacious at 49 sq.m., which felt very generous. It comes with a King-size bed and a comfortable round sofa, true to a 5-star hotel standard.

The TV supports AirPlay, YouTube, and Mirror Cast, adding another layer of convenience for guests.

The balcony has a table and two wooden chairs, offering a decent space to relax, chat, enjoy a meal, admire the sea view, and listen to the waves – it’s quite lovely.

Room Service:

Room service is available. You can scan a QR code to view the hotel’s menu and then dial 0 to place your order with Room Service. Food usually arrives at your door within 10 to 30 minutes.

I must say, the hotel’s pizza is delicious and generously portioned. The crust is crispy and incredibly satisfying. The price is also reasonable, not expensive at all. The food cost can even be deducted from your room deposit upon checkout.

Swimming Pools:

There are two swimming pools: the TWINKLE POOL, located next to the Lobby, and WALALA BEACH, situated by the beach. There are plenty of beach chairs, and each pool has a bar serving drinks.

You can walk directly from the Lobby down to the beach, as Cape Dara Resort Pattaya is beachfront. There are many photo opportunities, including a Skywalk zone specifically designed for photos.

Breakfast:

Breakfast at the hotel primarily includes sausages, ham, bacon, various salad vegetables, Thai dishes, kimchi, takoyaki, noodles, fried rice, buttered toast, and much more, catering to both Thai and international guests.

For desserts, there’s ice cream, pastries, tarts, butter bread, choux cream, donuts, fruit salad, yogurt, etc.

The breakfast restaurant has both air-conditioned and open-air zones. If you want a table with a sea view, it’s best to go early, as those tables fill up very quickly. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the RADIUS restaurant, located next to the swimming pool.

This entire review is based on my personal experience. I traveled and paid for everything myself; I did not receive any compensation. Honestly, I was quite satisfied with the room, service, and food. If you’re planning a trip to Pattaya,

I highly recommend Cape Dara Resort Pattaya as an excellent option. Please stay tuned to see where I’ll be traveling next. Thank you for reading this article, and I wish you enjoyable travels!
